My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
I started my college journey at Kentucky State University as an accounting major on a full-ride scholarship, but my true calling was still unknown.
2.
After graduating, I quickly climbed the ranks in accounting but the stress and lack of purpose led to panic attacks and self-doubt.
3.
Supporting my wife through postpartum depression sparked my interest in mental health and led me to seek therapy myself.
4.
In 2019, I walked away from my accounting career, unsure of my next steps but determined to find work that truly fulfilled me.
5.
I became a certified life coach, started a mindset coaching business, and later discovered my passion for clinical mental health counseling.
6.
Guidance from my mentor changed my path—he encouraged me to pursue a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at the University of Kentucky.
7.
Since becoming a therapist, I’ve focused on helping young Black men navigate life’s challenges, using my own experiences to help guide them.
8.
My journey continues as I work toward my independent counseling license, with the hopes of earning a doctorate and expanding my impact.
